The captain was my first attempt at making a full real time character. While I had some experience making characters before like in my Clash with Sigma environment, this was my first attempt at incorporating my new knowledge of normal mapping and real time rendering into a character. The final product has a polygon count of 32,947 tris with eight maps all 2048x2048. Took around six or so weeks to completely finish Sculpted in Zbrush, retopologized in Maya, baked in Xnormal, textures done in Photoshop, and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2.
