This was a project done shortly after my first attempt at a full real time character, the captain. I wanted to scale back and try to create something better focused with less resources. So, my end polygon count with such a goal in mind was 2914 tris and I stuck to only using a normal and a diffuse map both at 1024x1024 (minus the weapon). Took around ten days to finish. Sculpted and painted in Zbrush, retopologized in Maya, baked in Xnormal, some texture tweaks in Photoshop, and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2. The original concept can be found here.
